It's super fast, the UI is very fluid and responsive, and it's light with a large, well-lit screen.

After all, the outdated assumption that the more megapixels you have the better simply isn't true (and here's why).

We'll need to do some more pixel-peeping before we can tell if the Galaxy S III is the best 8 megapixel camera out there, but it's certainly in the running.

Performance Real world tests of Samsung Galaxy S III

cpu speed

Samsung seems to have done quite well here as the speed increase goes further than the 16% or so CPU frequency advantage that the Galaxy S III has over its predecessor.

LG also announced the Optimus LTE2 which packs 2GB of RAM to go with the dual-core Krait processor, 4.7" 720p TrueHD screen and, unfortunately, limited availability (South Korea-only for now).

The 3G talk time ended up the same as with the ICS-running Galaxy S III and is one of the best performers we have seen.
Galaxy S III by GSM Arena (Oct, 2012)
Samsung Galaxy S III running on Jelly Beangot an endurance rating of 50 hours (7 hours more than the ICS Galaxy S III), which means you’d need to charge it once every 50 hours if you do an hour of 3G talking, an hour of video playback and an hour of web browsing each day.

The viewing angles are extremely wide too - there's some color loss when you reach the extremes, but the icons and text remain almost perfectly clear, giving that printed look that we love so much.

Everything you do with the Galaxy S III starts and ends with its 4.8-inch Super AMOLED screen, so it’s fitting that Samsung has sought to minimize the amount of material surrounding it.

Wi-Fi, GPS, Wi-Fi Direct, and Bluetooth 4.0 are other communication features, along with NFC (which powers stuff you can do with TecTiles and Google Wallet).

So I love the phone, I just wish that Sprint would roll out 4G LTE faster.

I really loved this phone, but the overall slowness of 3G speeds and lack of 4G LTE in my area, made me switch to the older Samsung Galaxy S2.

Samsung SIII received, but I'm not satisfied with the product quality is not enough, the material is quite simple, I do not recommend.

The dock at the bottom of the screen seized the opportunity to accommodate another shortcut - the bigger screen now fits five custom shortcuts or folders.

This is the same kind of interface we've seen on the Galaxy Tab though the bigger screen there made it actually useful - half of even a 4.8" screen isn't enough for comfortable reading.

Video

It's the awesome trick introduced on the Galaxy S III that brings the video you are currently playing to a small floating window that lies on top of whatever else you currently have open.

The grid view is our favorite as it is a true tour de force - the visible video thumbnails (all eight of them) are actually playing the videos instead of being static images.

Operating system

In spite of also having HDR and a new Burst Mode, it’s not as refined or intuitive an experience as you’d get from HTC’s ImageSense, which still remains the standard bearer for camera software, irrespective of OS.

Galaxy S III. Though LG Optimus G is powerful but it just can't compete with SIII in many areas.
