At just 7.8mm thick, it's the thinnest phone HTC has ever produced and it holds a candle to the best of them in this regard.

That’s no knock on the One X, which ticks all the boxes for a legitimate Galaxy Nexus competitor, but the 7.8mm thick One S offers a much more mainstream form factor and price point, while also being the thinnest smartphone that HTC has ever made.

Galaxy Nexus by Javyrmz (Jun, 2012)
While it's still not as good as a hardware one, it's the next best thing - the 4.3" screen has enough real estate for big, well-spaced keys, which are easy to hit.

It almost sounds like the perfect premise for a device that's all style and no substance, but that's not the case with the One S. Sure, on closer inspection that Pentile display can drive you to distraction, but I'm learning to forgive that downside for the rich upside on offer from the dual-core Snapdragon S4, ImageSense camera suite, and Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

As far as video is concerned, the Galaxy Nexus can capture great 720p and 1080p recordings, though the quality suffers from the same issues as the still camera.

But if you're after the best Android or overall smartphone user experience on T-Mobile, look no further than the One S. It's better than the Galaxy S II, myTouch 4G or Amaze 4G, and is easily the most compelling phone available from the carrier today.

Order a good screen protector when you order the phone and don't take off the retail packaging screen film until you are ready to put on the screen protector.

The Galaxy Nexus is a sexy phone with a gorgeous screen that's running a truly great version of Android and yet another reason why it's still better to buy Nexus phones before any other.

The HTC One S offers quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band 3G with HSDPA and HSUPA, but unfortunately HTC didn't see fit to quote exact data speeds.

The OS really lets the display shine, with full screen high resolution contact photos (when viewing a contact/caller ID), menu transitions, smart buttons, etc.GMail is as good as the desktop version, Google Talk Video Chat works very well while on 4G, Turn-by-Turn navigation, Google Music, Google+ all bring THE Cloud experience to you in the palm of your hand and it all flows together seamlessly and is fun to use.
