The Skyrocket blows my old iphone out of the water in every respect - faster to open apps and get information, faster connection on LTE (which AT&T has done a great job on btw), bigger screen with great resolution, more customization, etc..
Galaxy S II Skyrocket by E.-Ward (Mar, 2012)
The screen is still not as good as on the now two year old iPhone retina display.

Like the T-Mobile version of the Galaxy S II, the Skyrocket is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon S3 1.5GHz dual-core processor to accommodate AT&T's LTE chipset.
Galaxy S II Skyrocket by c|net (Sep, 2012)
The manufacturing of the One X's newer dual-core is more efficient than the older quad-core processor, and sites benchmarking the two have come up with almost identical performance scores.

There's a nice, strong 2-megapixel camera on the front that's great for video chats, but the best lens yet is the 8-megapixel one on the back, which continues to take excellent shots on every Galaxy S II variation we've seen.
Galaxy S II Skyrocket by c|net (Sep, 2012)
There is a lower-resolution front camera, but I would only imagine that would be useful for snapping thumbnail pics.

The super amoled plus display makes everything crisp and clear (the resolution is only 800x480 but it's not that big of a deal it's still an amazing display).

The phone itself looks beautiful and feels great, the weight is also good it doesn't feel to light or to heavy.

The 8 megapixel camera takes crystal clear pictures with autofocus, and the front facing camera takes very good pictures using the spot button on the touch screen.

Battery size is average, could've been bigger and removable, but the battery life is very good.
Rated 100% by by Guy-David (May, 2012)
Overall however, based on stats alone I'd take the SIII over the One X. Also, the T-Mobile version of the One also has a Super Amoled screen and not the Super HD LCD display like the AT&T model, and it is clearly not as good, this isn't subjective, it just IS.

Camera is fabulous, it's better then most cameras in cameras.

In terms of sheer price/quality however, the Galaxy S II Skyrocket is really tough to beat.

The Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket had great in-call quality and the sound was crisp and loud.

But with the standard Galaxy S II available and a little cheaper, and an HD Skyrocket just around the corner, it might be best to consider your options before you pull the trigger.

If you want a high end android phone with great screen, at good price with international ability the Skyrocket could be for you, the LTE is a sensible "future" enhancement as where ever you live LTE will be there before upgrade time comes again.

I just bought Samsung Galaxy SkyRocket II phone 10 days back and I started using this phone and the Phone display and Android apps are good but battery life sucks.
Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket | Rated 40% by by Kris (Feb, 2012)
While the interface of the Android web browser has hardly changed, the hardware specs of the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket propel it to great heights of user experience.

That said, the phone is being returned as HTC and/or AT&T has literally removed 95% of the multitasking.
