Rated 76% by by c|net (Nov, 2011)It's still a bit on the heftier side at 5.8 ounces, but the weight adds a sense of durability that's to be expected in larger phones with greater mass.
Rated 68% by by The Verge (Feb, 2012)Good in a pinch, but low-light performance is no match for a real cameraI can't think of a single Motorola phone I've ever used with a good camera, but the Droid 4's 8-megapixel imager isn't bad: like the one on all the company's recent top-tier smartphones, it takes pretty decent shots in good light and with very little shutter lag, along with 1080p video that does indeed look like it was filmed at that resolution.
Conclusion Which is better for you?

Android 2.3 Gingerbread 4G
Rated 76% by by c|net (Nov, 2011)Try as Samsung and Verizon might to persuade us that the Stratosphere is "A First," with its 4G LTE-plus-keyboard combination, a quick glance at the specs of this fancy Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS with its 1GHz Hummingbird processor, brilliant Super AMOLED screen, 5-megapixel camera, and VGA front-facing camera reveal that it is actually none other than...an updated Samsung Epic 4G!

Stratosphere by DJW--HappyNana (Feb, 2013)The screen is a nice size and is clear, making it easy to read, 3.
Droid 4 by J.-HollisIf a replaceable battery, the best screen, the smallest size, or even the fastest processor is more important than a keyboard, this isn't the phone for you.
screen resolution
Stratosphere by c|net (Nov, 2011)Even though it's a great screen on its own, a higher resolution would make it look sharper still.
Droid 4 by c|net (Feb, 2012)I remember a time, just a year ago, in fact, when the Droid 4's 4-inch qHD (940x540-pixel resolution) screen was considered the pinnacle of display perfection.

Stratosphere by Paul-Daniel (Dec, 2011)Just because there are a few crazy fast and powerful devices with 1GB of ram and 1.5 dual core processors, does not mean that this phone is a lesser device.
Droid 4 by c|net (Feb, 2012)Motorola hopes to makes amends with its latest mobile gadget, the Droid 4, which possesses the long-yearned-for combination of Android, dual-core CPU, high-quality keyboard, and finally Verizon 4G LTE.

Stratosphere by c|net (Nov, 2011)A 5-megapixel camera may not be the highest-end camera in numbers (that honor would belong to an 8-megapixel shooter), but with the right combination of hardware and software, 5-megapixel lenses have been known to produce some really fantastic shots.
Droid 4 by c|net (Feb, 2012)The 8-megapixel camera snaps nice pictures with colors that are lifelike, not oversaturated or muted.
Performance Real world tests of Samsung Stratosphere vs Motorola Droid 4
cpu speed
Stratosphere by From-Detroit (Jan, 2012)The phone seems fast enough to handle the tasks I throw at it, and any faster processor would likely drain the battery faster.
Droid 4 by mferg02 (Feb, 2012)The processors make the phone very fast and not laggy which i did get a little bit of with the droidx.

Stratosphere by Mourning-Light--mournlight (Jun, 2012)And there NO WAY it will get 8 hrs of talk time.
Droid 4 by M.-Eckstein (Mar, 2012)It has a cool battery management program that you can use to "teach" the phone how to shut down functions you don't use under certain conditions (I.e. dim the screen and turn off wifi/gps when battery gets to).
