Naturally, with a 3.5" diagonal the screen isn't best suited for enjoying multimedia, but a small high-quality screen has its advantages over massive displays in everyday use.

It's solid and a beauty even though the screen seems small this late in the game.

colors are bright and processor speed is good.
Xperia U by harry (May, 2013)
If rooting your phone is your thing, and you happen to want to adjust processor speed, one thing I found out while using the SetCPU app (my use is for down-clocking the processor when the screen is off to help save battery) - well, if you set a profile to down-clock the processor for screen off, DO NOT set the processor to its lowest setting in the profile settings.

The phone is great however it seems to be shipped with carrier bloatware from the carrier TIM.

I want to add something about the battery, this phone has a battery Standard battery, Li-Ion of 1320 mAh (not a big issue), don't know why they didn't put something better, but is ok, if you install some apps like: Defender Juice and specially Easy Battery Saver, any android phone will last longer, like twice the time.

Overall, I found the phone to be a very good alternative to the iphone 4 in terms of available apps, customization and performance.

You might want to get yourself a nice little case if you ever drop the thing, as well as an additional charger (maybe a car charger) because this battery drains pretty fast.

I've been travelling in Eastern europe (used a turkish, greek, and georgian SIM with zero effort) and this phone works flawlessly everywhere, popping wifi hotspots is a particularly useful feature.
