Unfortunately, this feature works much better on a tablet than on the Xperia ray's small screen.
Xperia ray by GSM Arena (Sep, 2011)
On the multimedia front, the smaller screen here means video and games have much less visual impact than on larger models, but given how popular the iPhone's small screen is, we can hardly complain.

screen resolution

Sony Xperia ray
HTC One V
Tuning the S II photo brings up some detail in the dark areas but it's still marginally less than what the ray shows.
Xperia ray by GSM Arena (Sep, 2011)
The 480 x 800 pixel resolution clearly isn't all that high but you hardly notice a difference in real world use between it and the super dense display of the iPhone 4/4S..

processor

Sony Xperia ray
HTC One V
It's no match for dual-core, but if it's good enough for the gaming-centered Xperia Play, the ray shouldn’t have any issues with speed.
Xperia ray by GSM Arena (Sep, 2011)
I'm talking a massive screen, 4G LTE data where you can get it, plus a nimble dual-core processor...the clear choice for die-hard Android fans.

Of course, the One V's 5-megapixel shooter has lower resolution than the 8-megapixel sensors found in many of today's high-end smartphones.

Sure it would be nice if the camera and processor were both a little bit better but overall we've completely fallen for the combination of features on offer here.

The ray has a 3.3inch capacitive display, but while its resolution of 854x480 pixels ensures text and graphics do look very sharp and crisp, on a display this 'small', its narrowness makes using the web browser feel quite awkward, and in portrait mode columns of text look just a little bit too thin.

As for messaging, the text messaging and email interfaces are simple but effective.

Screen: 3.3 inch Reality Display with BRAVIA Engine makes the screen super clear.

plus the super clear screen (297ppi), picture quality is better than the iphone 4s.
Rated 80% by by purplep (Jan, 2013)
The battery is replaceable, takes 32gb microsim cards, 8Mpix camera takes great pics/videos in HD, ICS is available as a free upgrade, you get a free 50gb Box account as an Xperia owner, coupled with couple of paid but very useful apps, such as Copilot for gps (without internet), Camscanner, Evernote, WolframAlpha, ... it really can beat any i* and any big android brother anytime anywhere ;) The only thing is missing in my opinion is a micro hdmi output.

All your music will be crisp and each instrument sounds very independent of the others, which makes it sound like you are sitting in the studio.

Screen is super sharp and clear.

This is important for me, first of all you tend to receive better quality and second I do not want a beautiful phone that was made by abused workers (BTW: My old Nokia was made in Finland)!
