Startup delay

I  would like to be able to pick up my DSLR and start shooting quickly. Is 1100 milliseconds considered a long delay?

Equal balance of photo and video quality.

I like the bigger sensor and overall better quality on the Pentax. But the AutoFocus during Video on the T4i is tempting.

I'm choosing between Pentax k-30 and Canon T4i. I'm asking myself if the flip out is worth more or the the weather sealing.

Excellent color and picture quality.

I have been using a DSLR for 4 years but still consider myself to be slightly better than a beginner since I I almost always use the "Auto" mode rather than try manual modes.
