I have upgraded my Acer Iconia w500 to Windows 8 Pro,
With the built in 32 GB Solid State, it still has 16GB free (after cleaning up the old Win7 files)
Needed to have 50 percent of the C:\ drive free to do the windows Upgrade (had to remove some stuff and then put it back), but then on reinstall of Apps I put them on the expansion slot 64GB SD card that I have installed.
It boots quicker on Wiindows 8, otherwise performance seems about the same. An added bonus is that my bluetooth keyboards works without having to manually start the bluetooth each time through the acer ring software. The bluetooth is now listening at boot up, so all I have to do is turn the keyboard on. This was my only real gripe under windows 7 was that only the wifi was on by default.
I think you should update this review with Windows 8 Pro installed on the Acer and then compare it with the Surface Pro when it comes out as well 8-)
Which tablet do you recommend for Andrew-Thurlow?
