best for the buck?

Tamara-R-Robb | Asked  7 months ago | Last response was 6 months ago

i recently bought a Stealth Trio (POS!) for my 7yr old for his birthday.. we returned it.. Now i'm not sure which is going to be the best tablet for him. We want to be able to download 'free' app games, learning games and what not. Something that can grow with him and be somewhat durable, he is a typical boy  :)  any suggestions?                            help, please & thank you    - the non tech savvy mom

Which tablet do you recommend for Tamara-R-Robb?

Fuhu NABI2-NV7A - $175
7"|Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
Toys”R”Us Tabeo - $175

The Tabeo is very popular and I'm considering it myself.  I know my little one will love the camera.

My wife and I just bought a Kurio as a Christmas present for our 3-year-old son.  It's got a faster processor than the Tabeo and it's also got a better rating from customers at Toys 'R Us... (3.5 vs. 2.9).  I haven't heard of Fuhu.  At least you know with Toys 'R Us that you can easily return it if something goes wrong.

Oh yeah, the games... it comes pre-loaded with a bunch of popular games (Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, etc) and there is a special curated kids app store -- as well as the full Android app store.
