I would really like to know which device is better for reading books because that is the primary purpose I will use it for.  Web browsing, email etc is secondary but I would like these features as well.

The Nexus 7 is an amazing full-fledged, cheap, Android device with full e-book reading capabilities. I would recomend it 100% over any other e-reader or tablet.

I own a PlayBook, and have not had any issues with reading on it, but I think you will have a better time with a newer Android based tablet.
