I love the size of this device and it works great, but the screen is not great.
Iconia Tab A100 by William-R.-Hughes (Sep, 2011)
I guess if you insist on needing a small screen its size is pretty respectable but it is too large for pockets.

From its sloped edges to the placement of its front camera and SD card implementation, it's clear that the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.

This device only has a 1 GhZ dual-core chip in it, which of course, is what the Fire has in it, but 2 cores short of the Nexus's specs.

The screen looks great, and i adore my freedom to play my rapidly growing collection of awesome high-def games, or read for hours without eye strain, a sore neck, or the clumsy bulk of books.

The battery life, if you have charged it completely is around 5 hours, which includes games, internet, screen brightness on low, GPS off, and a couple other little settings.

Overall performance is still subject to the niggles that are a big part of living with the still-young Android Honeycomb.

On the back near the top edge sits a 5-megapixel camera with a flash bulb.

The front facing 5 meg camera system is a bonus, it won't be necessary to carry a camera in my handlebar bag as well as the tablet.

By the time the browser loaded the page, the Iconia would turn off the screen.8GB is woefully tiny, and the SD mount is simply for storing files and pictures, and after about 15-20 additional apps, the tablet would refuse to install more.

All of the apps loaded to date work perfectly including all of the cloud apps.

Screen

To me this is not a big deal since I am the only one using it and 95% of the time I am viewing it head-on, in which case the screen is very nice and crisp.

Evony scrolls up into the screen, and doesn't remain stable, but it is the best tablet that I have seen to get ANY connection to that particular game.

Enter the Iconia a100, this thing is SLICK!!! super fast, always been an Nvidia fan since I was a teenager, and have lots of trust for Acer products through their older monitors and newer LCD display's I've used on computers, so the trust is there for me.

Battery

I love the tablet but the battery drains really fast.
Acer Iconia Tab A100 8 GB | Rated 100% by by Xman38 (Sep, 2011)

One thing I've been very happy with that no one else has mentioned in reviews is the voice recognition.

The interface is friendly, and you get a multitude of widgets and apps to customize it with.

Type

I liked my Kindle Fire, and for the price it is unbeatable, but I found the low storage capability and lack of bluetooth for bluetooth tethering too limiting (although my wife and kid very much love their KFs and will be keeping them), and there is no denying that the full android HC tablet experience is great, so upgrading to this was worth it to me.
Acer Iconia Tab A100 8 GB | Rated 80% by by Fisterkev (Jan, 2012)
Overall, I'd recommend this tablet to anyone looking for an affordable Android 4.0 tablet, that has strong features, and a smooth looking interface.

I've waited for a year or so for my "perfect" tablet - , Android, reasonable cost, good size for my pocket or purse, excellent reviews, and good fast operating system.
