The 1.2-megapixel front camera takes decent shots as well, for what it is: it's brighter than many other tablets, but it's still nothing special.

Another nice thing is that the display is large, so someone with poorer vision should be able to use the keyboard and read the display quit well.
Eee Pad Transformer by Frank-Grimes (Dec, 2011)
The 10.1in screen is big enough to give each key plenty of space - there's none of that cramped feel you may have experienced with smaller-screened smartphones.

The device uses a IPS display like the iPad and has a resolution of 1024x800, providing a beautiful display.

It's a case of personal preference though, and the highest setting is powerful if not quite as retina-scorching as something like the Samsung Series 9 900X3A.

Even better considering that the Transformer Prime is set to be the first quad-core tablet, as well as pack in plenty of other great features like a gig of RAM, 32 gigs of storage and a 10.1 inch display.
Eee Pad Transformer by Jeffrey-J.-Jacobs
The 10-inch Asus Transformer Prime sounds like it will be an impressive device and may be one of the earliest tablets out of the gate rocking Nvidia's anticipated Kal-el quad-core chip for mobile devices.

The browser will get slower when you install the flash and I couldn't find a way in turning the flash off so I had to leave it on or uninstalled which I end up doing, the tab to move the arrows to fix a letter or sentence was very slow is not like the ipad which you can fix any letter in a sentence by taping the screen and moving to the letter and fixing it, some apps in the android market will not load so I had to go back and refresh the page and do everything again which I found annoying!

For $550, you get a tablet / netbook that lasts close to 14 hours on a single charge and provides a pretty great typing experience.

Just make sure you have time to charge the dock and tablet up — you can charge them both together via the port on the dock, but it takes close to four hours to top ‘em off.

Embracing the two-halves approach of Windows 8 - one hald just like Windows 7, the other more like Windows Phone 7 - the Asus Transformer Book will function perfectly well as both a laptop and a tablet, partly thanks to its neat detachable keyboard.

The Verge Battery Test crashed the Android browser every ten minutes, so it was no use, but when I set brightness to 65 percent and streamed Netflix over Wi-Fi, the Transformer Pad lasted 8 hours and 10 minutes — that was Doctor Zhivago, The Game, Snatch, and a few minutes of Big Daddy all on a single charge (I got a little desperate with the last choice).

I have had an Android phone since the G1 came out and love the Android OS but up until recently have been waiting for a good Android tablet.

The Honeycomb OS is a huge improvement but it is still not as smooth as Apple OS.

I could play movies and view pics without installing any extra software and it was as intuitive as browsing windows explorer.

Type

Originally came with Android 3.2 but Asus was exceptionally quick in bringing out an Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) over-the-air update.

There are plenty of reasons to love the ASUS Transformer and why it deserves a lot of commendations, including as one of the best Android Honeycomb devices.

It's good looking, an excellent fit and together, the tablet and keyboard make a good looking android netbook.

Operating system

OS: Comment about the OS- I've never owned an iPod or a smartphone so I have no experience with either.

Screen

The Transformer Pad has a much more average display: it's reasonably bright, with super-wide viewing angles and accurate colors, but it's no more readable outside than any other tablet.
Asus Eee Pad Transformer 32 GB, Dock | Rated 80% by by The Verge (May, 2012)
Can't really compare it with the iPad because iPad's 9.7" screen is in a 4x3 format - more square inches but movies show much better on a 16x9 screen.

You'll need protective screens to keep the screen from smudging, and a good cover, and there is a wonderful and cheap flexible stand sold here on Amazon that works great with it too.

Apps

This thing is awesome, lots of fun, and with just a few apps and a fast internet connection can be really business friendly.

Which is great because after taking pictures with my camera, I can take out the sd card put it into my Asus tablet and email the photos to my friends.

Camera

By comparison, the iPad 2's cameras are both less than a megapixel each, and the more expensive Motorola Xoom offers a 5-megapixel and 2-megapixel pair.

In good lighting photos are pleasingly sharp — many tablets produce pictures that are so soft they appear out of focus, but the Transformer Pad does a nice job of locking on.
