Acer has their Full HD Android on the market right now, but that processor is clocked at 1.3GHZ and to be honest I have heard many people say that device is sluggish for a quad core device.

Text is a little crisper but not significantly (perhaps because I am using modest size text; what ever is default - i'm sure with smaller point size it would be more significant; the movies I watch show significantly more detailed on the new screen).

The Apple iPad has a screen size of 9.7 inches, versus the Infinity's screen size of 10.1.

Sure, it easily matches iPad 3's Retina Display in terms of sharpness.

Its fast and the colors are so vivid and true it feels like im using a retina display that is 5 times better.

But the best camera is (or should be) the one in your hand when you need it, and it's too bad the Infinity's camera has such poor resolution-particular if you try to zoom in at all.

I bought it because I wanted to get away from apple and the constant crashing, and plus this was a quad core.

The Nvidia tegra processor is amazingly fast.

Performance Real world tests of Asus Eee Pad Transformer Infinity

cpu speed

This tablet comes equipped with the latest Tegra 3 processor, with higher clock speeds than what's in the Transformer Prime as well as the TF-300.
Eee Pad Transformer Infinity by GadgetAddicted (Jul, 2012)
The ventilation of heat seems efficient and it quickly cools down when load is reduced.-The cpu of the tablet is clearly faster (streams play very smoothly; but the stalls hide nearly all benefits).

The unit is quite laggy right our of the box especially for web browsing.
Eee Pad Transformer Infinity by Michael-Fields (Sep, 2012)
I also have a Kindle Fire HD... though the processor is not faster, the overall experience is less laggy and web browsing is faster than the Infinity.

The tab is snappy, handles pretty much any load thrown at it and with the keyboard dock has battery life that is incredible.
Eee Pad Transformer Infinity by Wolve83 (Sep, 2012)
This one, I've had to charge every night, also, I'm not sure if there is something different about this charger, but the TF101 charger is a 12v and the tablet would fully charge in under an hour from about 14%, this one charges significantly slower, after a half an hour it had only gone to 77% charging from somewhere around 45.

It is fast, very lightweight, the graphics are lovely, and with the added keyboard, it is a very suitable stand in for a laptop for any reason!! Great purchase!

The equivalent 4th gen iPad would be $172 more with no functional advantage other than slightly higher screen res.

The hardware specs on this tablet are great, and I fully expect that the software/OS will one day prove worthy of being a premier tablet, but today is not that day.
