The only negative that he mentioned was that it didn't have a camera on the back, but he downloaded a free ap that enables him to take pictures with the front camera, so he is very happy.

There is an app that lets you use the front camera to take pictures.

With the help of homebrew the touchpad really shines, including patches, homebrew apps, and the overclock kernels that bring the dual core to a screaming 1.7ghz.
TouchPad by William-C. (Aug, 2011)
The TouchPad is powered by a dual-core Snapdragon (the APQ8060) capable of speeds up to 1.2GHz — I doubt the tablet is actually burning that hot, but I can’t say for sure.

The iPad 3's processor may be faster, but that speed it taken up making the screen run smoothly.
TouchPad by Thomas-E.-Quiggle--TEQ1 (Apr, 2012)
Don't worry, a smudge on the back won't effect processor speed (which you can easily overclock by the way).

Performance was snappy though not quite up to par with the iPad or even Honeycomb levels when it comes to Sunspider testing (the TouchPad came in at 4040.6ms overall), but it’s quick enough that it doesn’t feel like a drag in use.

The touchpad supports java and flash, so I can visit all the sites I normally go to, the battery life is great, and the multi-tasking is very smooth and interfaces very well.

Apple was very hardcore about this - some said too hardcore - but they surely have great battery life.

The styling all ties in together nicely – only the iPad looks as good, fonts look lovely, and there's consistency across both native and third-party apps.

It’s not going to thunderously rock anyone, but it’s some of the better audio output that I’ve heard on a tablet or phone.

As for the rest of the included software, a pop-up menu from the home screen reveals more apps, including Bing Maps, an HP-authored Facebook app, Quickoffice, contacts, memos, Amazon Kindle, and more.

Operating system

WebOS itself is nice and worth the $149 I paid for this 32gb model, but the promise of an Android port (most likely Cyanogenmod7) makes it the best tech deal ever.
HP TouchPad 32 GB | Rated 100% by by toothman79 (Sep, 2011)
It feels much thicker than Galaxy - but again i would not trade WebOS for Android.

Now HP is thinking making new Touch pad sell to all the Households and brand every home with their touch pad and advertise their future product through their touch pad without spending a dime.

* The screen isn't great; mine had a fine pattern of visible dots which appeared to be part of the touch-sensitive component.
