ThinkPad 1838 by Jason (Oct, 2011)I have been using a Galaxy Tab for about a year and got tired of the small screen when viewing web pages - it's just a little small for that.
ThinkPad 1838 by R.-Meyers (Dec, 2011)I like the larger screen size on this tablet in comparison to the iPad, and the pressure sensitive pen is something that just isn't an option on most other tablets.
screen resolution
ThinkPad 1838 by katarinaism (Jan, 2013)I have watched videos (lectures, not movies so I can't comment too much on screen resolution) but I've been impressed.
ThinkPad 1838 by MaxBuck (Jun, 2012)It may not equal the "New iPad" and its "retina" display, but the resolution looks awfully good to me.

ThinkPad 1838 by chip3202The camera is not great, but you probably have a good cell phone camera anyway.
processor
ThinkPad 1838 by Ehhh (Nov, 2011)Pros: Great handwriting recognition, dual core processor, expandable memory, hdmi and USB portsCons: updates make music apps stop working and the "home" and "web" buttons rarely work on the first click...the buttons not working has been the biggest headache as they go from working perfectly for a few minutes to not doing a thing.
ThinkPad 1838 by chip3202The Jetstream was nice, with a faster processor, better camera and 4G, but the cost was just too much, and it couldn't compare to the ports on this device.
Performance Real world tests of Lenovo ThinkPad 1838
cpu speed
ThinkPad 1838 by Unknown (Nov, 2012)The performance is not rapid but not too laggy either (processor is not noticeably slow).
ThinkPad 1838 by katarinaism (Jan, 2013)Fourth, I've had issues reading documents on this tablet, especially if they're made in Wordpad or other more obscure word processors (as a sidenote, an easy fix is to have things on Google Docs format that you can access by downloading the Google Drive app and logging in your account).

10 hour
ThinkPad 1838 by Z.-F. (Feb, 2012)It literally takes 8 hours to charge and if you have don't enable airplane mode to save juice, the device might not charge at all due to concurrent processes draining the battery as quickly as the USB is able to charge it.
ThinkPad 1838 by T.-Tomlinson--Avoiding-work (Feb, 2012)If I turn off wifi and don't do anything really CPU heavy like play a 3d game, I can get 7-9hours actual use out of a charge.

Lenovo ThinkPad 1838 16 GB | Rated 60% by by Futzy (Jan, 2012)Just be sure to get a ArmorSuit MilitaryShield (or some kind of screen protector), otherwise you're going to end up scratching that screen with the pen.
