Considering it’s the world’s first tablet to squeeze in a quad-core ARM processor, it’s even more impressive.

I love the screen size and how thin it feels.
Eee Pad Transformer Prime by Edulyric (Mar, 2012)
The screen is neither too small that you can't read some websites or pdf's (like B&N's Nook at times) nor too big that the unit is cumbersome to hold.
Eee Pad Transformer Prime by Sam-Smith (Jan, 2012)

The resolution of the screen is very impressive and colors are displayed vibrantly.

Camera, 8mp back and front camera is good enough for face time.-Was able to playback 1080p videos pretty smoothly.
Eee Pad Transformer Prime by Doh (Dec, 2011)
The front camera works well for quick Skype sessions.

This machine is not really a quad core... IT'S A FIVE C0RE!! Four performance cores and companion core which takes care of a lot of the system overhead.
Eee Pad Transformer Prime by Alan-McGaughey (Jan, 2012)
The speed of the tablet is unreal (Tegra 3 - 4/5 cores).

Performance Real world tests of Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

cpu speed

My wife has an iPad 2 that she also got recently, and while I am impressed by both devices, the Prime has won me over with its insane processor speed and beautiful display.
Eee Pad Transformer Prime by romy (Dec, 2011)
IT would be nice that you could choose which programs or apps should be given the priority setting of using the highest processor speed.

Please note ICS has made the web browsing experience lightning fast - im very impressed.
Eee Pad Transformer Prime by R.-Richelson--solar-guy (Dec, 2011)
the tablet is blazingly fast regardless of what it's doing and i recently installed the chrome beta to use instead of dolphin/stock that i had been alternating between before and i noticed huge speed increases over what i already thought was rather fast load times from the.

Tegra 3 makes screen transitions are a LOT smoother, gaming performance is better, battery life is improved, the screen is brighter, and its all tucked into a BEAUTIFUL, durable, premium design.
Eee Pad Transformer Prime by Mckinley-Bruckner--mick3444 (Dec, 2011)
* The charger charges quickly but it is unique to Asus and no iPad chargers (2.1A) will charge the transformer faster than a trickle rate.

Dark detailing is good (if not quite perfect) and blacks are deep, all without compromising the brilliantly bright whites.

Asus may have produced a brilliant piece of engineering at a price that's competitive with the iPad, but Android hasn't yet matched iOS when it comes to unlocking all that potential.

While the Prime's IPS screen was immediately clear and sharp when first we powered it on, it was the screen transitions that really impressed us.

After reading all the hype about the quad core cpu, awesome speed, and how this is the best tablet to hit the markets, I've had to return mine today.
Rated 20% by by Eric (Feb, 2012)
Speed: I would have thought with a quad core CPU that the device would be fast.

I cannot be happier with how games, email, and note-taking are so easy for my husband to do on this tablet.

Screen

=. Was very colorful and bright, 600 nits of brightness will make it useable outside.

The resolution of the screen is the best out of any current tablet, and can be crazily bright enough that it is useable outdoors in sunlight.

Type

It's an amazing piece of hardware, I like the Android OS, and the docking station sounds like a great idea (haven't had the docking station in my hands).
Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime 32 GB, Champange | Rated 60% by by J.-Abercrombie--Scott-in-Calgary (Jan, 2012)
All upgrades are as charactaristically seamless as I have become accustomed to with Android devices.
Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime 32 GB, Champange | Rated 100% by by cc_amazon (Apr, 2012)
Now, will you find a more powerful Android tablet with greater features and $$value$$ than the Prime?
Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime 32 GB, Champange | Rated 80% by by Aaron-Henson (Jan, 2012)

Apps

It's just as fast, the display is just as crisp, and it has more Apps than you will ever be able to use.
Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime 32 GB, Champange | Rated 100% by by Ian-Mcmanis (Jan, 2012)
Gaming has been very smooth, on Riptide, Shine Runners and Glowball I'm genuinely impressed with the graphics.
Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime 32 GB, Champange | Rated 100% by by Pete (Jan, 2012)
I'm happy they included a front-facing camera though, it works great with the Skype and Google Messenger apps.
Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime 32 GB, Champange | Rated 100% by by Jeremy (Jan, 2012)

Operating system

It can even be used as a netbook or laptop replacement if you’re happy with its limitations, and dare we say should run Windows 8 beautifully when that OS comes out, expanding its flexibility further.
Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime 32 GB, Champange | Rated 100% by by TrustedReviews (Jun, 2012)
I was pleasantly surprised with the performance and how far along the Adroid OS had come along!
Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime 32 GB, Champange | Rated 100% by by RV-Driver (May, 2012)
I also didn’t notice much of a difference when it came to multitasking — it didn’t have a problem running multiple apps, but I didn’t notice a speed increase between the Prime and the original Transformer under heavy loads.
Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime 32 GB, Champange | Rated 82% by by The Verge (Dec, 2011)

Wifi

With the Wi-Fi Xoom and no-contract G-Slate asking for $600 and $750, respectively, the Transformer is a great lower-price alternative.
Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime 32 GB, Champange | Rated 73% by by c|net (Apr, 2011)
There is also the hardware issues with WiFi and GPS, the GPS is a non-issue for me since I always have my phone with me, but the WiFi performance for me has just been OK but not great.
Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime 32 GB, Champange | Rated 20% by by Mike-D--intotheblue (Mar, 2012)
Its fast is gorgeous but i gotta say this indeed the wifi is a little short in range but i stay close to the spots so it doesnt bother me that much and is not really a huuuge difference you can still be far and use it but it may be a little slow as also it may not.
