I'm a diehard Palm person (still have my Palm Pre Plus phone from Verizon) so I opted after much research to get the Touchpad 32 G (used) because I love the intuitive, multitasking interface and I thought the limited apps wouldn't be a problem.

The only negative that he mentioned was that it didn't have a camera on the back, but he downloaded a free ap that enables him to take pictures with the front camera, so he is very happy.

The front camera can also be used for (VGA) video recording of up to 30 frames per second with audio, as well as still camera pictures.

processor

HP TouchPad
Apple iPad 2
With the help of homebrew the touchpad really shines, including patches, homebrew apps, and the overclock kernels that bring the dual core to a screaming 1.7ghz.
TouchPad by William-C. (Aug, 2011)
I agree that because applications are similar and they both share the same iOS, the experience might not seem that different, but once you get your hands on it, the bigger screen, the dual core processor, larger memory and longer battery result in much much better overall experience.

Performance was snappy though not quite up to par with the iPad or even Honeycomb levels when it comes to Sunspider testing (the TouchPad came in at 4040.6ms overall), but it’s quick enough that it doesn’t feel like a drag in use.

The iPad's device features, such as Bluetooth 2.1 (A2DP, EDR), Wi-Fi 802.11 n, 3G, and 10 hours of battery life, are all here, and in many cases are still the bar by which other tablets are judged.
