I love the screen size and how thin it feels.

A big, 1080p display on an Android device is great for watching movies, but it's worse for a lot of other things.

The dock's battery drains first when they're connected, and it actually charges the tablet — you just drop the tablet in when it's dead, and since I left the dock plugged in most of the time I've never once had to charge the tablet itself.

The screen is well-laminated to the glass, so it feels really close to your finger — that makes everything more immersive, and makes it feel more responsive as well.

Asus also adds a Super IPS+ (In-Plane Switching) mode, which boosts the tablet's screen brightness, making reading in sunlight a bit easier.

Still, Web speeds are fast, and GPS actually works and works well.

Update: I am knocking two stars off for the way ASUS is handling the TF201 WiFi/GPS signal metal chassis design flaw by introducing a new Prime (TF700) model.

So, no wonder people have mixed feelings about the Prime, especially when a new version is rumored to come out soon, the TF700 series, that conveniently advertises "enhanced Wi-Fi and GPS capability" and sports a non-metallic strip of backing right where the internal antennas are located that reeks highly of a fixed version of the Prime.

Speaking of radio wave speeds, GPS performance is much improved over the Prime's and satellite connections are much easier to find.

design

Unlike the plasticky Pad 300, it's a serious feat of industrial design, a worthy successor to the beautiful Transformer Prime.

Miller/CNET). Despite the few, small design changes, the TF700 feels just as light and comfortable to hold as the Prime does.
Asus Eee Pad Transformer Infinity TF700 32GB | Rated 83% by by c|net (Jun, 2012)
The TF700 measures 0.33 inch thick - compared with the Prime's 0.32 inch - and it encloses its innards in an almost complete aluminum unibody design.

camera

Asus gave the F2.4-aperture lens, back-illuminated sensor some significant attention, and, well, the Prime now has the best camera of any tablet on the market.

Anyhow, I've returned my Prime to Amazon for a full refund... and now I see that they've jacked up the price on these by $115???? What a gip... and to find out that Asus is now launching the TF700 series near the end of Q2 with the only real enhancement being the front facing camera going form a 1.2 to 2.0 Mega Pixel and the upgraded screen resolution which is nice, but on a 10 inch.
Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime 64 GB, Amethyst Gray | Rated 20% by by C.-Conchi (Jan, 2012)

screen

Asus maintains that the screen brightness is the culprit here, and I tend to agree with them — 65 percent brightness on the Prime is higher than on the original Transformer and most other tablets.

While the TF700's display retains the wide viewing angles most IPS displays are capable of, when looking at a white background from an off angle, an impression of one of the LCD components can subtly be seen.

radio

The sides and back are a single sheet of aluminum, except for a strip of plastic at the top where the camera lens and a lot of the connection radios live (those radios don't do well with metal, as some Prime owners found).
