Clearly different people have different requirements for a tablet but to our minds the size of this device (shared with devices like the HTC Flyer and Samsung Galaxy Tab) has always been more desirable both for its out-and-about portability and its general round the house ease of use.

The Playbook has many positives, including a beautiful sleek design; perfect not too big, not too small, not too heavy size; awesome picture; sensitive screen; and fast processor; however, IT'S GOT NO APPS!!!To give you some perspective on where I'm coming from: I'm a regular guy.
PlayBook by david (Jan, 2012)
On the upside, for graphic artists and people who mainly interact with the stylus or touching large items on the screen, the ep121 is a beautiful piece of hardware.

screen resolution

BlackBerry PlayBook
Asus Eee Slate EP121
Since I focus on more work oriented tasks, the solid professional build quality, the sharp screen resolution, and smoking speed of the Playbook multitasking abilities and is exactly what I'm looking for.
PlayBook by Janet--j-huey (Apr, 2012)
I would've been happier with a smaller screen with a higher dot pitch of resolution, even if it was still the same total resolution, especially if it were more precise with the touch interface.

The cameras are excellent, among the best, especially the 2mp for a front camera is going above and beyond.

processor

BlackBerry PlayBook
Asus Eee Slate EP121
Solid build, great speakers (better than iPad and Lenovo K1 combined), crystal clear display, camera is better than most tablet cameras, quick, quick dual core on Blackberry's homegrown OS.
PlayBook by Tosotikoga (Feb, 2012)
the processing speed is impressive, even when multi-multi tasking, thanks to the dual core i5.

Performance Real world tests of BlackBerry PlayBook vs Asus Eee Slate EP121

cpu speed

I purchased the playbook because of past experience with the brand, the perceived quality, nice price, software updates, processor speed, and just a general balance of design and function.
PlayBook by Rikki79 (Jan, 2013)
Other than that the processor is solid too, can handle many tasks but do not expect it to perform like a mainstream processor.

Great multitasking, plays everything on the web without a hitch, takes great videos which I then play on my big screen TV via the HDMI output, good battery life.
PlayBook by cgeor_ny (Jan, 2012)
The tablet is sturdy, the battery life is performance laptop quality, that means about 2.5 hours; as for when this came out it was running some of the best hardware around.

These add a huge amount of enjoyment to videos, games and music simply because you actually have the absorbing affect of stereo (rather than mono).

The selection of apps available through the App World still trails the giant storehouses of Android and iOS, but the quality of content RIM has pulled in since the PlayBook's release is admirable.

Rather than the 7- or 10-inch screens we're used to on touch-screen tablets, Asustek Computer bumps up the display to 12.1 inches, making this feel much closer to a full-size laptop (or at least a 13-inch one).

This makes it ok to the fact that it is so heavy it's like a hand weight.

If you're in a corp env, pop out your SD card, put the filler and and swap when you're back at the hotel.-Hardware: Awesome hardware, I just installed some new gen games and I can flip between a game, itunes, onenote, office, and RDP just seamlessly ~ a very multi-use device that still meets current high end software requirements.-Device size: LOVE the screen real-estate.
