The larger size, better screen res and faster responsiveness has made this my main device.
Matsunichi II by Joe-G--maclamb (May, 2012)
The size is one of the best thing about the Ipad, it's neither too big nor too small and the screen is big, bright and clear and there's just so much you can do.

Fact of the matter is Apple displays are nice, and set a good benchmark, however they have been surpassed by newer technologies and better resolutions on many fronts.

Front camera feels kinda muddy, it's not crystal clear despite a decent resolution.

The front camera can also be used for (VGA) video recording of up to 30 frames per second with audio, as well as still camera pictures.

processor

Apple iPad 2
Dual core works well and has handled everything I've thrown at it.
Matsunichi II by fishin-dude (Aug, 2012)
I agree that because applications are similar and they both share the same iOS, the experience might not seem that different, but once you get your hands on it, the bigger screen, the dual core processor, larger memory and longer battery result in much much better overall experience.

Performance Real world tests of Matsunichi II vs Apple iPad 2

cpu speed

It snapy fast, leaves even my galaxy tab far behind which has a 1 Gig of processor.
Matsunichi II by SAM (Oct, 2012)
The processor on the iPad 2 features the Dual-Core A5 chip, whereas the original only has the A5 chip, but upon consistent use, the speed appears to be about the same.

The browser in honeycomb is really nice has tabs like dolphin and google chrome.

Other than that for my first Android device (Android being just another GUI for LINUX), I am pretty impressed.

All in all, I rate the iPad 2 an A. If you want to save some money, buy the iPad 2 instead of the new iPad, but if it's your starting model and you don't care about the price, go with the.

* Part of the reason the iPad is perfect for travel is that you can use it in any position, unlike a laptop, where you have to find a seat.
