The super thin construction is solid, the speakers are great, it responds quickly, has an IR sensor for TV/Cable control, works with Google Play/Amazon Android Market, has a MicroSD slot for added memory, front facing camera, comes with Android 4.0, and more!

This would be a great feature for designers and artists, or even those who like handwritten notes, and would complement the Retina Display very nicely.

Lovely display and a very responsive screen though I have fairly large fingers so I expect it will take some time for me to get precise.

It aint an Amoled or retina display but if you haven't been using those it won't make much of a difference.

processor

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1"
Apple iPad 3
Like the 7.0, it has solid but unspectacular specs (a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 1280 x 800 TFT display, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, dual cameras), plus Android 4.0, all for a very reasonable $399.99.

At the center of that chip is an ARM-based, dual core SoC clocked to 1GHz, along with a quad-core GPU.

This isn't a bad display by any stretch, but now that I've seen screens that don't have jaggies on text or slightly yellowish tints on whites, and screens where even tiny text is readable and dark movies look amazing, making those sacrifices with the Tab 2 is a little hard to justify.

The new iPad is also equipped with a greatly improved camera on its back (a 5 megapixel shooter, not unlike the one featured on the iPhone 4), new 4G LTE options (for both Verizon and AT&T), and a considerably more powerful processor.

Miller/CNET). The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 trades in its predecessor's 2-megapixel front camera for a VGA one, and while it retains a 3-megapixel rear camera, the LED support light has been exorcised.

It is a huge improvement over the iPad 2's 0.7-megapixel shooter; this updated shooter is now 5 megapixels.

The stock music player runs very well with Album Art, audio settings, the usual settings one expects in a good music player and it is very easy to create new Playlists on it.

As Apple advertises, if you look closely at, say, someone with a white shirt in a photo on the iPad 2 you can actually see the display pixels, which obviously limits the sharpness of the photo.

The retina display is excellent, although the difference may not be obvious at first glance.

We purchased a similar tablet from AT&T that required a data plan, and was really disappointed when 5 minutes of time on the internet (not WiFi) used up 1/2 of our data plan.
