The Vizio...is unfinished, but a great eBook reader-better than Nook Color and will rival anything that the Kindle eggheads will come up with...unless Amazon can design a better color screen version, max out battery life to about 20 hours and price it for $250 or under.

While it’s surprising that RIM would ship the PlayBook without taking advantage of the front camera, in the context of this tablet, it’s sadly par for the course.

In addition, I love the fact that I can use a regular SD card to expand the memory instead of using the microsd cards with the other tablets.

I realize the size of the screen is middle of the road at 9.4" but, at 1280x800 it presents a nice sharp experience that you really have to see to appreciate.
Tablet S by P.-Perry (Feb, 2012)
The Playbook has many positives, including a beautiful sleek design; perfect not too big, not too small, not too heavy size; awesome picture; sensitive screen; and fast processor; however, IT'S GOT NO APPS!!!To give you some perspective on where I'm coming from: I'm a regular guy.

screen resolution

Sony Tablet S

Despite the slightly smaller screen, this tablet still has WXGA 1280x800 resolution like most other 10.1" tablets, which is nice.
Tablet S by MPV--Teraforce88 (Oct, 2012)
Since I focus on more work oriented tasks, the solid professional build quality, the sharp screen resolution, and smoking speed of the Playbook multitasking abilities and is exactly what I'm looking for.

It's better than the front camera, but honestly, who would use a tablet to take pictures?
Tablet S by MPV--Teraforce88 (Oct, 2012)
The cameras are excellent, among the best, especially the 2mp for a front camera is going above and beyond.

There are familiar specifications such as the dual core 1GHz processor, 1GB RAM, micro USB and choice of WiFi/WiFi 3G and 16GB/32GB sizes, but everything else raises an eyebrow.
Tablet S by TrustedReviews (Mar, 2012)
Solid build, great speakers (better than iPad and Lenovo K1 combined), crystal clear display, camera is better than most tablet cameras, quick, quick dual core on Blackberry's homegrown OS.

For camera enthusiasts Sony has called on its camera prowess too and the 5MP shooter on the Tablet S is the best we've experience on a tablet to date.

These add a huge amount of enjoyment to videos, games and music simply because you actually have the absorbing affect of stereo (rather than mono).

Just know this: neither of these cameras are excellent shooters, and neither will replace a real camera or decent smartphone option — mostly due to the size of the device and awkwardness in use.

The front camera, while higher resolution than most other tablets out there, didn’t fare much better in low light — but I don’t expect to be using that shooter to do anything but video calls (and for applying my makeup).

In that same spirit of borrowing from its best technology to make a compelling tablet, Sony has borrowed the Exmor image technology from its digital cameras to make a tablet camera that's actually worth a damn.

The selection of apps available through the App World still trails the giant storehouses of Android and iOS, but the quality of content RIM has pulled in since the PlayBook's release is admirable.

The front VGA Camera: Sony should have put at least 1.3-2MP camera in the front.

I don't expect it to have dramatically better performance than other top Android tablets.

Two reasons I've moved to the Lattitude ST are: My son fell in love with the Sony ... Games on the Sony are exceptional ... and I travel a lot ... so I replaced three devices (Windows 7 based laptop, T-Mobile G2, and Sony Tablet S) with two (Samsung Galaxy S III and the Dell Lattitude ST).

But today, there was a software updated that added Macros functionality to the Sony Tablet S. So if you love this Tablet, it just got better!

The Sony Tablet S (previously known as the Sony S1) is Sony's long awaited first Android tablet and its primary defining feature is to snub its nose at the aesthetically pleasing but impractical race to be thinnest.

In automatic the camera takes pictures with greater vibrancy than the typically washed out images we've seen from the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and RIM BlackBerry PlayBook while it obviously mops the floor with the inadequate 0.7MP rear camera on the iPad 2.

My whole review is about how you don't need macros because the new Xperia comes with macros and originally, the Sony Tablet S did not.
