The 8 megapixel rear camera is a decent performer, but don't expect photos and videos to be as crisp as ones from a DSLR or a point and shoot.

UPDATE: This is an okay tablet-decent battery life, nice colors, etc, but it simply WILL NOT UPDATE.

The speaker sounds great for what it is, and the rear camera does take pretty decent pictures (feels very similar to the one on the HTC Incredible 2).

At 7.7mm, it really is impressively thin, slimmer than any tablet we've seen regardless of screen size.
Excite 10 by The Verge (Mar, 2012)
Coming back to the Asus, What makes it a really good tablet.... It has a really good screen too, I feel it's more than enough for a display of this size.

screen resolution

Toshiba Excite 10
Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF300
It has good resolution, and while not as amazing as Apple's retina display, it was pretty close.
Excite 10 by SkyKnight (Jun, 2012)
It's not a super high resolution display, so the individual pixels are pretty good sized, and this was pretty noticeable.

The 2-megapixel front camera took fine-looking pics with serviceable detail, but you wouldn't want to use it beyond light video chat.
Excite 10 by c|net (May, 2012)
The front camera has less pixels and isn't as great, but is perfect for video calls and gets the job done.

I did look into getting the newer Excite, but don't like that there is one processor "MAP(tm) 4430 Processor" to handle all functions.
Excite 10 by Dancherd (Sep, 2012)
The tablet has very good clarity and excellent speed thanks to the Tegra 3 processor.

I'm docking my review 2 stars down to 3 stars: it's still a nice thin tablet, has nice colors, and decent battery life, with a full SD card slot and a lot of outputs.
Rated 60% by by Mickey789--Mickey789 (Aug, 2012)
That was a nice surprise on this tablet as I had very limited space for apps on the old tablet and was always deleting to make more room for new apps.

Most tablets that are android based and 10.1 inch screens have1280*800 resolutions, however the brightness and clarity is fantastic.

Being mainly an iOS user I was very skeptical going into Android (with all the bugs, lag and other stuff I've heard about), but this tab doesn't have any issues at all!

I can do everything I do on my laptop and so many more great games!!! My laptop is now gathering dust.
