VIERA UT50 by c|net (May, 2012)I performed a hands-on evaluation of the 50-inch TC-P50UT50, but this review also applies to the other screen sizes in the series.
VIERA UT50 by megan (Mar, 2013)But, as with all flat-panel TV's, they can only fit speakers that are relatively small in size, so you'll never get the best sounds quality anyway.

Panel
Panasonic VIERA UT50 55" | Rated 40% by by Paul (Apr, 2012)This is my first non cathode ray tube model, either LCD or Plasma, so I was expecting an amazing picture experience unlike anything I'd ever seen before.
Panasonic VIERA UT50 55" | Rated 100% by by M.-Merritt--FusionGuy (Jan, 2013)Plasma panels have much better longevity than the LED (LCD) sets and their colors are generally more accurate but that is debatable.
Panasonic VIERA UT50 55" | Rated 100% by by James-J.-Gorski (Feb, 2013)Be sure to fine tune your picture settings for the absolute best resolution and colors.....there are several presets you can choose from, or get into the "custom" settings and create your own settings.
Picture quality
Panasonic VIERA UT50 55" | Rated 100% by by RH512 (Apr, 2012)First thing is to move it off standard setting for the picture and change it to custom setting, start with contrast at 78, brightness at 58, color at 44 and sharpness at 0, color temp at Warm2 - fine tune to your liking.
Panasonic VIERA UT50 55" | Rated 83% by by c|net (May, 2012)Black levels on the UT50 series are about the same as what we saw on the superb flagship TC-P55VT30 a year ago, which is almost unbelievable in such a cheap TV, and while the sparse color controls give little wiggle room, color accuracy isn't an issue.
Panasonic VIERA UT50 55" | Rated 80% by by Joe-S (Jul, 2012)The TV sounds good and has just a deep clear breath taking picture.
Hdmi
Panasonic VIERA UT50 55" | Rated 100% by by megan (Mar, 2013)So, if you change the setting for HDMI 1, the settings for HDMI 2 will not change.
Panasonic VIERA UT50 55" | Rated 100% by by Seeker (Apr, 2012)My old TV had 4 HDMI inputs and I had to be satisfied with 2 HDMI and 1 Component input.
Panasonic VIERA UT50 55" | Rated 100% by by banjoenvy (Jun, 2012)The picture is superb, and coupled with my HDMI 7.1 Yamaha receiver and a Panasonic blu-ray player I believe I have one of the finest entertainment set ups available.

Panasonic VIERA UT50 55" | Rated 80% by by Alphonsel--bla-bla (Mar, 2013)If you want to hook this up to your Computer, you will have to use one of the precious two HDMI ports.
Panasonic VIERA UT50 55" | Rated 100% by by Seeker (Apr, 2012)One thing to keep in mind is that this TV has only two HDMI ports.
Panasonic VIERA UT50 55" | Rated 80% by by A.-Wickman (Jul, 2012)For one, it only has 2 HDMI inputs.

Panasonic VIERA UT50 55" | Rated 100% by by Seeker (Apr, 2012)After reading a lot of reviews and oscillating back and forth between LCD/LCD-LED/Plasma TVs, I decided to go with Panasonic Plasma.
Panasonic VIERA UT50 55" | Rated 83% by by c|net (May, 2012)As the least-expensive 2012 Panasonic plasma series with 55- and 60-inch sizes, the UT50 series is positioned as a value option, and while it misses a couple of features of the ST50 series, it still boasts very impressive picture quality.
Panasonic VIERA UT50 55" | Rated 100% by by M.-Merritt--FusionGuy (Jan, 2013)I have an older, 7th gen Panasonic 720p 50 inch plasma set from 2006 and it is STILL stunning by today's standards.
