I use this with my Xbox 360 elite via HDMI 1080p, Netflix streaming looks very good and the in game text is extremely sharp, 120Hz is also nice.

The composite sounds good, but a audiophile might notice a difference.

The Screen has a nice matte finish so there is hardly any glare if TV is facing a window, even with no picture the screen size is just simply overwhelming.

The sound is quite good for the price and a flat panel.

It has a nice glossy THIN border around the TV(which i found perfect)so I have more TV to watch lol.

Watching certain shows/movies in HD just blows me away; the depth of field is so deep that the picture has a three dimensionality to it.

It didn't reflect as much ambient light as our glass-screened reference plasma display, and fared as well as the other matte LCDs in our lineup.

If you want a good quality HDTV, with great sound and ease of use then this really is worth considering.

The speakers are in the back of the TV, but I prefer that because I have my audio running through my stereo, and so should you.
Rated 100% by by James-T.-Lee (Jan, 2010)
It could be a gimmick, though, because there's the usual array of color, sharpness, tint and other tweaks in the options menu.

Remote

Once the remote issue was resolved, the setup was fast and easy and the picture quality is great.

Philips 6000 Series 47" | Rated 100% by by southernarc (Dec, 2009)
The remote control did not come with batteries, and the remote is needed for set-up.

Panel

Colors are crisp, fast-motion sports and gaming are smooth, and I notice the difference between the 120hz refresh rate and the 60hz on other sets.
Philips 6000 Series 47" | Rated 80% by by cclark6000 (May, 2009)
The resolution is awesome, it gives you a real felling of the picture.

As soon as you turn on the TV it prompts you to start the TV setup with detailed and very easy on-screen instructions to help you find the right settings for your viewing pleasure.

Setup was breezy, and the side-by-side picture quality tool that confronts you on the first boot-up seems pretty handy.
Philips 6000 Series 47" | Rated 80% by by cclark6000 (May, 2009)
First off, the tv has full HD, and the colors, other than black, are absolutely vivid and beautifully rendered.

Performance

We did not test the power consumption of this size in the Philips PFL6704D series, but we did test the 42-inch model.

It gives a very decent picture yet it uses considerably less than its 285 peak power consumption.
