5500 Series by Bob (Oct, 2011)WMC(WindowsMediaCenter) integrates perfectly, makes Impressive, Stunning MultiMedia presentations...Gotta give it 5 Star++ , an Excellent, versatile, all round Hi Quality LED flat screen display!
5500 Series by iceeIt still wasn't perfect, for the lighting elements were far bigger than the pixels on the screen, so if you had a small bright object (like a star in space), you'd see a bright halo around it but at least the rest of space was black.
thickness
5500 Series by Dianne-Mulholland (May, 2012)The picture frame is just the right thickness to look great hanging on the wall or sitting on a tv cabinet.
5500 Series by iceeThey're written for the types of people who would never bother to drill down the depths of the settings menus to begin with.
Performance Real world tests of Samsung 5500 Series
power consumption
5500 Series by H.-phil-Chen (Dec, 2011)The features that sold me was the slim design , weight of 15 lbs(mounted) , the sharpness , power consumption of 77w compare to me 28" monitor that was sucking 100w and producing heat from the LCD.
5500 Series by Maki-Michii (Jun, 2011)I did no measured lag test but it suffices that i don't really notice any lag playing black ops.
contrast ratio
5500 Series by L.-Tran (Dec, 2011)I'm not very TV savy, but watching it, the image is crystal clear.
5500 Series by Michael (Nov, 2011)I have had the TV now a couple months and it seems great; picture, sharpness, contrast, quality, sound (I am no audiophile though)!

Panel
Samsung 5500 Series 32" (2011) | Rated 100% by by Cedric-Iwashina (Apr, 2012)The picture quality is very nice and the refresh rate is fine.
Samsung 5500 Series 32" (2011) | Rated 100% by by J.-Hardy-IV (Aug, 2011)The design is quite attractive as others have said, nice and thin edge lit LED and the I don't mind the glossy surfaces compared to the matte of the Hanns-G.
Samsung 5500 Series 32" (2011) | by c|net (Mar, 2011)The PND7000 and PND8000 have the same panel, different from the lower-end models, and we assume of better quality.
Picture quality
Samsung 5500 Series 32" (2011) | Rated 100% by by H.-phil-Chen (Dec, 2011)Everything is crisp and you don't need to color correct anything.
Samsung 5500 Series 32" (2011) | Rated 40% by by iceeThat tv has more uniform brightness and great blacks without the need for artificially compensating for them by varying the brightness of the entire screen.
Samsung 5500 Series 32" (2011) | Rated 60% by by J.-Larrinaga (Jan, 2012)Sadly, the picture quality was amazing and the TV physically looked great.

Samsung 5500 Series 32" (2011) | Rated 20% by by David-A.-Meise (Aug, 2011)The feature is not availble on the 40" while using the HDMI mode that is required for the best picture.
Hdmi
Samsung 5500 Series 32" (2011) | Rated 100% by by J.-Hardy-IV (Aug, 2011)After troubleshooting w/ Samsung and lurking on AMD forums I found that the default 'picture mode' for HDMI is not optimal for computer connection.
Samsung 5500 Series 32" (2011) | Rated 100% by by J.-Hardy-IV (Aug, 2011)One oddity I'm still working out though is the inability of it to sleep in HDMI mode, there are options to have the TV turn itself completely off if there is no signal for a time, but I want it to go to sleep mode rather than have to power it up manually myself.
Samsung 5500 Series 32" (2011) | Rated 100% by by Cheshire-Pinky (Dec, 2011)It was a breeze to set up (took about 20 minutes to hook up - used an HDMI cable [you'll need to purchase one] - quick and easy; set preferences; and hook up the DVD player with the adapter provided with the TV).
Ports
