While I don't find the high definition picture as crisp and clear as the 42" Sony in my den, it is certainly an upgrade from the "old" tv, and just what I was looking for.

I like the Toshiba much better, 4" larger screen that fits in the same space above my doorway, much better dvd player, and a brighter, clearer picture.

It's perfect for what I needed and I absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to use it in a similar fashion...as a child's or RV TV that can play DVDs.

Audio quality

The audio is poor which is why not having a headphone jack is such a big issue, but its worth stating that the vast majority of these LED television have poor audio, and that the headphone jack is being phased out of most 2011 televisions as well.
