I cant comment on the 3d or the internet features since i dont use those, but the build quality is excellent, it has plenty of recessed hdmi inputs, and the picture is stunning.

Sony's KDL-HX820 is the company's second-best LCD series, and offers slick Monolithic styling and a thin edge-lit panel.

If you can't bear to buy a plasma like the amazing Panasonic ST50, you will pay more for the HX850 but I think you'd be quite happy with it.

Little weird though; my wife swears the screens are the same size because of it.

The TV is encircled by a thin, attractive sliver of aluminum.

The edge-lit models are amazingly thin (some only 1 cm thick) ... but seriously, the 2" thickness of the HX929 doesn't present any issues I can imagine.

I used some of the picture tweaks found at Cnet and adjusted them for some personal taste (backlight, sharpness, motion).

Another postive thing going for the Sony HX850 is that it has a wide viewing angle.

The Sony HX850 is the closest thing to a great plasma picture you will find in an LED.

. *3D viewing seems to have improved overall over the 2011 HX820, however tilting your head at all will ruin the picture.
