Most of our picks from last year are back, and we've updated the dates, locations, and costs for each. These events are great places to stay up-to-date with the ad tech industry ” what to expect, what is important, and where the industry is headed.
March 5-8, 2017
Palm Springs, CA
AdMonsters puts on great events, and the Publisher Forum is geared toward experienced professionals and covers topics related to maximizing revenue and increasing operational efficiency. There's a strong mix of publishers and technology vendors on site. Additional forums will be held in Montreal, QC and Nashville, TN in 2017.
April 23-26, 2017
Captiva Island, FL
This summit convenes big-name publishers with some of the world's top brands. The agenda looks to find mutual agreement on the future direction of programmatic advertising and how both parties can use new and emerging technologies to improve their businesses.
March 29-31, 2017
This annual event is attended by the who's who of the publishing world. Stalwarts like Forbes and ESPN will be in attendance, as well as many of the newest and fastest-growing digital publishers like Bustle and NowThis.
The event covers a variety of publishing topics, and isn't focused specifically on ad ops or revenue generation.
Digiday also runs a similar conference in Europe (Italy), and the Digiday Programmatic Marketing Summit in Scottsdale, AZ.
April 4-5, 2017
San Francisco, CA
AdExchanger's Programmatic I/O is one of the first-ever professional events related to programmatic media and marketing. Programmatic I/O attracts a wide range of attendees and speakers, although it does have a focus toward newer brands and technologies in the space. The content ranges from comprehensive Facebook advertising case studies to philosophical discussions about the future of programmatic and its relation to privacy and individual identity.
Although some major publishers are in attendance, this event focuses more on brands, agencies, and technology companies.

The conference is run by AdMonsters and brings together professionals in ad ops, sales, revenue operations, and digital strategy, to discuss the nuts and bolts of building and executing on your monetization plan.
This conference is certainly focused on the operational side of online publishing and is worthwhile for both new and experienced ad ops people.
